GENOA CITY, WI—Sitting with obvious unease at one of the dining tables of the popular Genoa City Athletic Club, owner and local billionaire Devon Hamilton tried in vain to figure out the driving force behind his wife’s “new” career in backstabbing. According to reports Mr. Hamilton appeared visibly perturbed on Monday as he relayed his concern to his sister, Lily Ashby.
Mrs. Ashby, who is also the manager for the GCAC was taking time out of her busy workday
to enjoy a glass of chilled water with her brother. “The Hilary that I married was funny and smart and genuinely sweet,” Mr. Hamilton was overheard saying, clearly alluding to the one to two month period before he and his wife wed—before she transformed into a hellcat who exploits the brain tumor diagnosis of ill colleagues in an effort to gain more visibility and control at her job.
Amused sources told reporters that Mrs. Ashby, who was barely able to hide the judgment in her tone, was quick to give her brother a sharp reminder, “The woman you married is not the same person who came to town to ruin dad. And she probably won’t be the same woman five minutes from now because Hilary is constantly changing.”
To this factual assessment, Mr. Hamilton could only respond by shifting noisily in his chair from one butt cheek to the other while his default expression of slight constipation played upon his furrowed brows.
